Lyric radio, like the essay, tries to ask questions and impress upon the ears that something is askew for a reason. By toying with radiophonic materials and textual ephemera, I create poetically voiced works that land somewhere between fiction and hybrid documentary. Even in the absence of a traditional narrative, a story often reveals itself. Listen to the orbit of experiments.
Earlid, my newest curating practice, is an online platform for international aural arts. It’s a bricolage: an enfoldment of sounds upon stories upon bodies and imagined rooms. I distill various artistic concepts through audible dialogues or far-flung correspondence across media and genres. I’ve been organizing sound-based artists on the air, in galleries and online since 2000.
